On July 14th our adoption case was heard in US courts, making our adoption final here in the United States, and allowing the boys to become US citizens!

They will be issued US birth certificates and we can apply for Social Security numbers for them. The only downer of the day...they lost their Ethiopian citizenship. Ethiopia doesn't recognize dual citizenship.
This adoption is actually over. Done. Finished. It's an odd feeling after being involved with it for the last 16 months of our lives. Another chapter closed, and another one begun. I'm excited to see what this one holds for the Redburn family!

Yay, what a big day! Congrats :)
I can't believe it's actually over - the process. So surreal.
And the journey has really just begun! Congrats!!!
