This is what my quiet time looks like:
I was reading scripture to the kids as they were eating their breakfast,
filling them up with The Word
as well as cheerios and captain crunch...
Preparing them to face the day away from me and the safety of our home.
I often times read as I load the dishwasher.
Is that weird?
Sorry about having to see the messiness that is my house.
I try to remind myself that God doesn't care how messy my house is...
as long as my life isn't messy as well.
As long as my relationships aren't messy.
I guess it doesn't really matter, right?
Isn't that how God wants us to include Him?
In the every day, minute to minute stuff of our lives,
right in the middle of the dirty dishes.

I think sometimes that is one of the best ways to include Him! We were just talking in Sunday School yesterday about how we have to wake up and invite Him to be a part of the day every day, and how He wants to be a part of our whole day, even in the ordinary things. I love the way your picture shows that! And I think it is so wonderful that you're filling your kids physically AND spiritually before they face their day! It is so encouraging to me to watch and learn from other Christian mothers right now and prepare for the kind of wife and mother I hope to be when the Lord leads me to that time of life!
