clothes line. a first for me.

my very first load on the line!

I'm excited to start this line drying clothes adventure! The people who owned my Grandma's house before her had this clothes line in their yard. She never used it (to my knowledge), but didn't take it down either, and boy am I glad! My father in law came and hung new line for me since this picture was taken. I also bought more clothes pins so that I can hang an entire load...there are three lines on this pole! I hope to get a lot of use out of this hanging line this spring and summer!

Its kind of hard to get used to a non-dryer sheet smell! I had to use a downy ball and softener last summer! ALso, I sometimes still put "crunchy" clothes in the dryer with dryer balls for about 10 minutes... still energy efficient compared to doing laundry all day! And the best part is you can be outside during the put up and take down and appreciate that its NOT WINTER anymore! :o)

I love drying clothes on a clothes line! My grandma hangs her clothes out year around and has for as long as I can remember. They have such a fresh smell to them. However I like to fluff mine in the dryer not a fan of stiff jeans and towels.

I always dryer fluff mine as well... it also gets rid of the allergens that would otherwise be on your clothes (if allergies are an issue).

Way to go, Ash! Looks awesome!!!

I'm so proud of you... it's so cute that you took a picture of your very first load!! You will save lots on dryer energy, which this summer will save on AC cause you won't be running the dryer... and enjoy the outdoors and fresh smell as well!! A few minutes' toss softens them up, and "wallaah!" perfecto!! ~:)
