Slowing Down

I have a feeling posts on this blog are going to start slowing down.  We are nearly done with our Dossier.  Actually, we are waiting on our home study to be approved by our Placing Agency and once that is done our Dossier and our I-600A will go in.  After our Dossier is sent in we will be on the waiting list and then there is LITERALLY nothing to do...but wait.  Waiting to me is pretty boring, so therefore, there won't be much to post.

When I say waiting, I mean like 3-6 months of waiting!

I will continue to update you all on our fundraising efforts...we've got some fun things in the works, but nothing definite enough to post on here yet!  :0)

I will post after each monthly update (we are encouraged to call or email our agency on the monthly anniversary of our DTE to get updates on the process), so I'll let you know what we learn there.

My only request...please don't ask if we are "still doing that adoption thing".  Yes, we ARE doing the adoption thing.  Although I know there's no belly for you all to look at, we are moving along in the process, even when there is nothing to report.  You asking me if we're "still doing the adoption" is like me asking a pregnant person if they are "still doing that pregnancy thing".  Once it's started, it's kind of a done deal.  This adoption is something that we've dreamed about since before we even got married.  It's something that God has laid on our hearts and we are going to do...it's not just an idea that we're tossing around or something that we're working on intermittently.

Thanks for understanding...sometimes emotions run high - trust me, I wish I had a physical symptom that you all could see as well...but the only physical symptom that I have is an aching heart, ready to bring home our baby(ies), and I just don't want to snap at you!  :0)
