Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. It's my favorite holiday and I'm so excited for today! Last night we spent some time making Turkey Pops (from Bakerella). I let the kids do all the decorating and boy, were they stinkin cute. Turkey like, maybe not, but cute just the same!! I'll share a picture soon.

This year I am thankful for so many of the same things I was thankful for last year...
but this year I am also thankful for so much more.

This year I'm thankful for clean water available 24 hours a day at my beckon call.
I'm thankful for my mattress and pillow and warm fluffy blanket that I sleep with every night.
I'm thankful for never going hungry, not even for one meal.
I'm thankful for medicine when we're sick.

I'm also thankful for seeing people who go without these things with my own two eyes.
I'm thankful for their smiles and their joy, and their encouragement in my life.

I'm excited to share Thanksgiving with Blake and Silas today. Experiencing "firsts" with six year olds is so different than experiencing them with babies. I love it. And I love today.
