snow fun (and a weight loss update)

On Christmas Eve 2010 we got a great snow fall! It lasted through Christmas Day and so, of course we had to take advantage of it! The kids got sleds for Christmas...perfect! Although I love the sight of snow, I do not love being out in it. It's too cold and too wet for this momma.

All bundled up, ready to go out!
Silas, Blake, Hunter, and Libby (my cousin's little girl)

Do you think Blake (in blue coat) enjoyed it?!

Uncle Evan helped push from the top of the hill
Silas (in red coat), Hunter (in orange coat)

Blake thought he could get Uncle Evan with a snowball...but after a very short chase Evan had him tackled!

They started to build a snowman, but decided it was more fun to form tackle it.

Libby - This one's for you Nel!

Graysen running back up the hill!
yeah, we don't even bother to take the tags off..just grab it and run outside!!

We don't get snow very often here, so when it comes we must take advantage of it...even if that means taking 10 minutes to bundle up, only to spend 10 minutes outside and and then having to run a load in the dryer.

Sometimes I'm still amazed at the motherhood end of things. Thanks Mom for all that you did for me growing up, I never knew how hard it was for you...you made it look effortless!

Weight Loss:
Well, bummer this week. I only lost .2 lbs. Yes, 2/10 of a pound. But, I'm going to try to make some changes this week...I'm going to try to eat at least 25 points a day (instead of my high of 21 points this week), I'm going to walk every. single. day...at least 1 mile (I've already walked 1.5 today!), and I'm going to drink more water! We'll see if that helps anything for next Tuesday...That brings my total weight loss to 11.8 lbs.

Looks like the kids had a blast! I remember the days of being able to sled all day long and then the next day my clothes were ready to go. Now being a mom I don't know how my mom kept up with it.
