Trans Siberian Orchestra

December 30th the Krueger's invited us to join them to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra. They had gone with Josh and Terra the year before, but this was our first time. Thanks for including us, guys!

Josh and Terra. They were troopers and rode in the back! This couple will be married soon...I love engaged couples!!

Nick The Navigator...
We got to STL a little early so we decided to hop 2 miles down the road to Meskerem, our favorite Ethiopian Restaurant, for me to pick up some injera for the boys. Britt also ordered some lentil sambosas to snack on before dinner!

We had reservations at LoRusso's for dinner. A beautiful Italian restaurant that had a pianist playing during dinner! We had great service, and wonderful food!

Just some of the amazing food that I couldn't eat...

After dinner, it was on to see the show...

Look at these crazy lights! It was an amazing show.

Lincoln said he was confused for a moment whether he was at an 80's rock band concert, or an orchestra! We both loved the show, and were very impressed with their talent. I couldn't believe how many behind the scenes people it took to make the show run, there were lights, fire sparks, things that came down from the celing with people on them, etc. Such a great experience. Thanks for inviting us Nick and Britt!

That had to have been a fun show. I'm jealous even! Trans Siberian Orchestra evolved loosely out of a metal band named Savatage actually. The band always had a theatrical approach, and often did rock operas vs the usual rock album. The song "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo" was originally on a concept album called "Dead Winter Dead" about the tragedy and violence in Sarejevo, very moving album. That reminds me, I need to call Lincoln...
