i am reminded how blessed i am.
6:45 in the morning and hunter and graysen are snuggled in my bed.
i am listening to worship music and hear their whispers
"you're the best sister, no you're the best bubby in the whole world."
my heart overflows.
then my two newest ones come in.
they crawl into my bed as well.
we all listen to worship music.
"there's none like you".
(Being real here: of course this lasted about 30 seconds after all four of them were together, but it was a precious 30 seconds!)
regardless of the fact that my idea didn't work out "perfectly"
it was still a perfect way to start my day.
i won't see them the rest of the day.
it's a 14 hour day at work.
i hide this moment in my heart to give me strength for the rest of the day.
i am reminded that i want to live out Psalm 84:3
"even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a next for herself, a nest where she might raise her young - a place near your alter O' Lord Almighty, my King, and My God."
how i crave my quiet time with the Lord,
but how much more important it is to bring my children along with me...
to his alter, to raise them there.
"ever faithful, ever true. you never let go."
