Kindergarten report cards have about 70 different areas in which the kids are assessed. I only mentioned the ones on here that were not perfect (because they had WAY to many perfect ones to mention)!
Blake on the first day of Kindergarten:
1st Quarter:
Names lower case letters: 96%
Identifies letter sounds: 38%
Counted to 39 out of 100.
"Blake is a hard worker and eager to learn. He asks questions when he needs words explained - he is a joy! :0) Continue to work on letter sounds as you read and write at home."

2nd Quarter:
Does not understand rhyming words.
Identifies Letter Sounds: 67%
Can not identify 3 dimensional shapes
Can not identify numbers 11-20 out of order.
Impulsively talks - trying to understand.
"Blake is eager to learn. He has gained many letter sounds this quarter. He has difficulty applying these sounds when writing in his journal however. Continue to encourage sounds through writing - the "teens" give him trouble as well. He calls 13 - 30, 14 - 40, etc."

3rd Quarter:
Can not recognize middle sounds in words.
Can not write last name as presented in school.
"Blake has made good progress in his writing during journal time. He knows how to help himself and tries to make his writing make sense. He is strong in numbers and number concepts. :0) He wants to know about everything and is full of questions. He is a delight!"

Blends sounds to read words: 80%
Correctly forms 80% of letters taught: 98%
Names lower case letters: 96%
